Broker Barbara S Duncan pretends she is a kid with an iphone! Video practice.

Real Estate Agent with RE/MAX Advantage

I do have an iphone and admit that I have hated it since I got it.  It is just too smart for me.  But with a few hints I think I can catch on.

I just noticed something on the thing.  You can upload a video to youtube from it!  Now that explains why youtube is used so much by kids and smarter-than-I-am (all kids are smarter) adults.  I had to wait for someone who was late today so I tried it out.

Just look at me sitting in my car and surveying the area!  Click here to see the video

Real estate changes ALL THE TIME!  We are going to have to change with the times and video seems to be the ways thing are going right now.

Now I need to ask a kid what "goes viral" means. Maybe my video could do that?

Barbara, you are so funny :)  It is a hoot keeping up with the technology though.  It seems fairly common when I tell someone under 30 that I have a blog the reaction is, "You have a blog?"  As if I am too old to know what a blog is let alone have one :)  I also have a smart phone---but there is still an element of "garbage in---garbage out"

That video was erie. I think it was the lighting. You had a aura about you. The next thing to do is download Skype (free) from the Apple store and set up an account. We can do a video call and you will get a kick out of it. My son and daughter do it all the time and one time I did a group call with Anita and Harold Seeing someone while your talking to them is quite a hoot.

I totally agree with Don:  join the 21st Century and let's all talk on SKYPE.   (I am saying this, as if I am technically literate:  I've just bought a Kindle Fire - but all I'm doing is reading USA TODAY and playing word games and Scrabble.  No books yet, as I am still too frugle:  I check out my books at FFBay Library. )  There may be more Sleuths who have Skype:  just think what we might be able to do and "find out"

Mary, bet you didn't recognize where I was!

Charles, I really did feel youthful when I uploaded that video from a phone to youtube....quickly.....with the phone reversed to show me instead of the landscape.  Seeing how easy it was made me understand how kids can get into trouble so easily with their iphones.

Don, that will have to be my next step up.  If Anita can do it, I can do it!

Anita, I do not yet have a Kindle Fire.  Have not seen the need for one yet but no time will come.

Way to go Barbara regarding Skype.

I have a Nook Color rather than Kindle Fire and like it for traveling. The last trip I took which was a 5 hour flight, I read almost the whole time using the Nook. It's great to have a big collection of books and magazines in one compact form. Most magazines one subscribes to can be downloaded to the Nook.

These compact e-Readers are not much larger than a paperbook and  the Nook can be viewed without overhead lights.

Also, I can check e-mail and browse the web in the airport and  if pay $5, I can do it on the Southwest plane using in flight Internet.
