Sugarloaf Mountain Vineyard - Montgomery County Heritage Days
The 15th Annual Montgomery County Heritage Days event was held on June 23-24, 2012. 32 locations were featured during the celebration. Dolores and I visited several of the historic sites on Saturday, ending with wine at Sugarloaf Mountain Vineyard.
Sugarloaf Mountain Vineyard is Montgomery County's only vineyard and winery. The 85 acre farm includes a restored red barn, silo and windmill and abts the scenic Sugarloaf Mountain which is a Registered National Landmark. It is fun to taste the wines and discover new favorites.
Sugarloaf Mounain Vineyard is much loved by dog owners because they are welcome to be accompanied by their pets.
The countryside is beautiful and you will enjoy the drive to the winery. Dolores and I recommend a stop at the Lewis Orchards Farm Market on the way to the winery.
