There is no question that business has changed over the last 20 years. I remember doing business when cell phones were installed in cars, everyone carried a pager and fax machines used thermal paper. I am happy to say that we have moved forward and that I have kept up with the times. My business is totally dependent on technology. If I were to select the most valuable item, I am not sure I could identify just one.
I absolutely can not live without my iPhone. I have had the Blackberry and Droid in the past, but I must say I do prefer the iPhone. It has been easy to learn and who wouldn't love "Siri". I have streamlined my business calls so that all calls eventually will be transferred to one number. It has simplified my life considerably. I no longer have to worry about a missed call,
On the other hand, I have found that I absolutely can not live without my hotspot. That hot spot gives me the ability to work any where, any time. With my laptop, I can get things done when they need to be addressed. It has given me the opportunity to not worry about rushing back to the office. Having this technology available has been a deal saver in the past. I wouldn't give it up for anything.
I have given up on my desk top computer and work solely with a laptop computer. It no longer matters if I am working at the office, at home, or in a real estate office. I have everything I need with me at all times.
In my computer bag, everything fits nice and neat. I grab one bag and out the door I go. It doesn't get any better than that, but I do wonder what wonderful new technology might come along to make my job easier yet!
