With temperatures reaching 105 degrees over the past several days, the Denver Parks and Recreation department has announced that starting July 1st, all 16 of Denver's public outdoor pools will be available for use free of charge on the weekends for kids under 18.  Adults 18 and over will cost just $1 for entrance!  This deal will be available through August 12th.          pool

Lauri Dannemiller, the Manager of Denver Parks and Recreation, says,

“This is the right thing for us to do to help citizens cope with the unseasonably hot weather we are experiencing.  Making our pools more accessible on the weekends will provide more opportunities for kids and families all across Denver to stay cool during this hot summer.”

Denver Mayor Michael Hancock added,

" We recognize how important it is to create opportunities for our children and their families to enjoy healthy activities together, and this is a small way we can do that.  Our Denver swimming pools are great places for families to beat the heat during this hot summer."
