I Could NOT Get Through the Day With Any Margin of Productivity Without My Smart Phone!
My Smartphone awakens me in the morning, give me my schedule for the day, and keeps me in touch with the world including clients and family as the day progresses. I have to have a backup battery because I am ALWAYS using it and I don't want to take time to plug it up during the day.
Beyond communication, it's my internet connection to the world, not only for me but for whoever is with me, regardless of where we are. With a new 4G network and my Cradlepoint Router, its instant WiFi for my laptop and I've had 5 other people connected on their laptops via the Cradlepoint Router.
My smartphone is a Windows phone. The plan that I have allows me unlimted data use so it's not a problem to use the Cradlepoint Router even if we're away from home on vacation and children have their laptops with them.. everyone has internet access even at the cabin in the mountains.
I stay in touch via email and log onto Active Rain and Facebook easily.
Mobile Devices have certainly come a long way, allowing us to post to Facebook or to tweet with just a text. Aw,the subject of texting.. it has just about replaced emailing for me and many of my clients. Yes, email does have it's place but I use texting a lot more than emailing to stay in touch with clients, other agents, loan officers, etc. It's just TOO easy.
I don't know how anyone managed to do business before Smart Phones! I for one, would be lost without mine. When the phone goes down, I do too, along with most communication. Many people in my area have removed their land line phones and only use cell phones. An odd thing.. many moons ago, people had to have a phone line to have internet service (dial up). Now many folks have a VoiceOver Phone so they have to have internet to have phone service. Strange how things roll around..
