Mona, those photos are so beautiful. How great to be able to have them blossoming right before your very eyes. Everyone should have a Miss Bernice nearby. :)
I love the close-up in your post. It just jumps right off the screen, and lights up my entire room. Thanks so much !
Hope you all are well...
The flowers in the photo are beautiful and the color is amazing, but are they sunflowers Mona? Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't this a sunflower?
Check with Miss Bernice.
Mona, thanks for sharing you very vivid and detailed photograph! Enjoy your day!
Good morning Mona. What a magnificent flowe. I have never seen anything like it: just gorgeous. Your friend did an amazing job and your picture is marvelous.
Mona, there are so many different kinds of sunflowers and they are all beautiful.
Mona - beautiful photo. thank you for sharing with us and haev a great July 4th!
Karen Anne, I like being the ray of sunshine on your screen. Glad you enjoyed the sunflower.
Roger, I wouldn't dream of correcting you...oh hell yeah I would. I believe Miss Bernice called this a clown face sunflower, but the sunflower website calls it Tohokujhae Big double flowers, about 7 inches across, in bright yellow. These are shaggy in the middle with a single band of flat petals around the outside. Multiple blooms. Plants varied in height from 3-6 feet.
Wayne, thanks so much.
Tammy, see Roger's answer. I found out there are even red sunflowers.
Sheila, just imagine a whole row of them!
Maria, I actually had no idea how many there were until we met Bernice.
Gay, you too.
Mona... such kind words you share with me. This sunflower photo is SO beautiful... I bet it could be framed and sold... if someone were entrepreneurial enough to do that. It is by far the prettiest Sunflower I have ever seen.
By the way... I invite you to come read my latest post out tonight. I am sure you will find it of interest. Have a Great Weekend.
