This year, Independence Day is on a Wednesday. There are plenty of things to do, and a lot of events scheduled in and around Knoxville TN for some July 4th fun.

Festival on the 4th will be held in the Knoxville Worlds Fair Park from 2 - 10 pm. This is a free even, ending in a fireworks display.

Gatlinburg has a number of events starting with the Midnight Parade, and ending in fireworks.

If you are nearer to the Town of Farragut, you won't want to miss the 25th Annual Independence Day Parade.

USFlag & FireworksSons of Revolution Services will hold a celebration and reading of the Declaration of Independence in front of James White's Fort from 10 am - noon.

Museum of Appalachia is hosting a July 4th Celebration and Anvil Shoot. This promises to be a day of "old-fashioned fun."

On these dry hot days, stay hydrated, stay cool, stay safe, and above all have yourself some July 4th fun!
