2012 Carlsbad Triathlon and Health and Fitness Expo is Coming July 7th and 8th, 2012

It’s that time of year again here in Carlsbad CA – time for the famous Carlsbad Triathlon (the 31st year), which will take place again at Tamarack Surf Beach in Carlsbad next Sunday July 8th.
Stunning coastline views, beautiful weather (normally), world-class triathletes and cheering crowds make for a stellar event.
The Carlsbad Triathlon is one of the world’s longest running triathlons. The Carlsbad Triathlon is a sprint distance race, beginning with a 1K open ocean swim, followed by a 25K bike ride, and a 5K run. Because of the course terrain this triathlon works well for newbies as well as elite athletes.
The Health and Fitness Expo takes place on Saturday, July 7th at the Westfield Plaza Camino Real (at El Camino Real and the 78 freeway) from 10 am until 3 pm. The Expo will continue on race day, Sunday July 8th at Tamarack Surf Beach from 6 am until 12 noon.
