Indiana CRS Chapter with a Heart Update July, 2012
When you know your “why” …..
The “how” will come together!
In preparing for the annual IN CRS Chapter with a Heart fundraiser, I had the opportunity to speak briefly to a local CRS class (65+ attendees, February, 2012 at the Greater Northwest Indiana Association of REALTORS office in Merrillville, IN).
I shared basic information about our annual charity event –>
A silent auction will be held during the Indiana Association of Realtors Fall Conference on Wednesday and Thursday, September 19 and 20, 2012. Tables with bid sheets will be located exclusively next to the IAR Registration at the Sheraton Hotel, Keystone at the Crossing in Indianapolis, IN. Bidding on silent auction items donated will take place both days of this conference. A live auction for a few “cream of the crop” items will take place at the Wednesday evening Welcome Reception.
Then I shared the “WHY” (which is even more important)….
“Riley Hospital for Children in Indianapolis, IN promises to never turn a child away due to the family’s inability to pay!
When you give to Riley Children’s Foundation, you give hope to thousands of families seeking help for seriously ill and injured children.
More than 60% of Riley patients are on Medicaid or uninsured.
Here is just a small sample of what your donations can do in just one year (2010 data source from their website) Riley Hospital provided:
· 452 patients participated in pediatric research clinical trials
· 9,688 inpatient visits
· 249,321 outpatient visits
· 222 campers attended Camp Riley for Youth with Physical Disabilities
· 36 Stem cell transplants”
Now that you know the “why” won’t you join us and be part of the “how” by donating an item for bid to the silent auction event or by contributing to this worthy cause with a monetary gift online via secured pay-pal account set up at
Thanks kindly in advance for your generosity!
