When was the last time you just stopped to take a break from the madness of it all.  Well today my sister andHuntsville Real Estate Blog brother decided to take a break from it all and they wanted to drag me along for the ride.  My schedule was actually pretty light today with the majority of my appointments already completed for the morning.  Eventhough I was not really booked I still considered telling them no because of all the things I could be doing instead.  But they would not take no for an answer and they rolled into town in the early afternoon.  They had heard about Huntsville's newest attraction Bridgestreet Town Centre and they wanted to pay it a visit.

We did a little shopping, had a very nice meal, and even stopped for ice cream.  The best part of the day was that I got a chance to spend some time with my family which I havent done in a while.  You never know what may happen from day to day so I think we should consider each day precious and take advantage of the opportunities that we have.  I could have missed a chance to visit with my family if I had been too caught up in business.

While we were there, we saw this little boy just playing in the water and I thought howHuntsville Real Estate he seemed to have so much fun and not have a care in the world.  I think sometimes we just need to do the same thing...just kick back, have a good time, and leave the cares of your busy world behind for a little while.  I'm not saying neglect your responsibility but I think we all need to take a little time every once in a while just to relax have a good time.

Don't worry about the listings, the sellers, the buyers, the closings, the market, the number of foreclosures, or even the next sale.  Just be thankful for what you have like loving and supportive family and friends, happiness, and good health.  I'm glad I took a little day off to reflect on all I have to be thankful for.  Just take a little time to be like the little boy playing in the water... Just enjoy the moment!!  It was so refreshing that I can hardly describe it.  I'm so glad I did it.  Give it a try and allow a little rest for your mind and body and see what a difference it can make!!

You are right Kimberly! It is very important to take a day for yourself and relax. I like to try and do lunch with the girls once a month. We usuall go shopping or to a movie afterwards. It sounds like you really had a great day!

Kimberly, You are so right on this wonderful post. Life is a gift and so very short. We work to live, not live to work. It is so easy for all of us to lose sight of what is important, that's for sure. Thanks for the wonderful reminder. I would have loved to watch the little boy in the fountain.  Elizabeth

Kimberly,

Your blog page looks awesome!  I love the reminder to take a day off.  Even God rested on the sixth day and commanded us to take a day off too.  We are designed to need rest...When the law was being given, in regards to tithing and money spending/saving, we are required to give 10% and save 10% for "recreation."  So God created in us the need to rest and have some recreation time.  I believe in "following the plan!"  Isn't it good to know that not only is it a good idea to rest, but it is a command! Yahoo!  Praise the Lord for His Grace.
