Pontoon boats on Lake Cable at Canton OH 44718.  Lake Cable is a residential community along the shores of  a 150 acre lake.  There are now over 700 homes.  Lake Cable came into being in the 1920's as a resort real estate venture by two brothers, Dueber and Austin Cable.  Sucessful contractors in Canton OH. The brothers wanted to kickback with their friends.  The brothers built stately homes along the shore of the man made lake they built.  Fishing and relaxing on the sandy beach was the order of the day.  In the 1950's the Lake became a residential community with the winding narrow beach roads still intact today.   A perfect viewing area for the fireworks was the Dog Daze Hot Dog Shop where we dined prior to the july 3rd fireworks.
