Motivational Power Quote

Under Pressure a Person’s Real Character is Revealed

“One of the most important lessons that experience teaches is that, on the whole, success depends more upon character

than upon either intellect or fortune.”

William Edward Haysole Lecky 1883 – 1903, Irish Historian and Essayist,

As I see it . . . . . . .

Under pressure a person’s real character is revealed

You will see it in professional athletes, in negotiations and in politicians.

Some people will remain composed under pressure and remain in control of the situation while others will lose control of their emotions and the situation very quickly.

A person real character is revealed under pressure.

Your character becomes a key element in your relationships and in your business success.

People want to do business with someone that they trust and someone with character and they will go out of their way to do it.

A person who lacks character will have some limited short term successes but without character they don’t have the staying power to create long term and sustained success.

Under pressure a person’s real character is revealed.

Lou, great quote! When I teach mediation, my students take a self awareness test to help them understand how they react to conflict.  Happy Fourth!

Good mornimg Lou.  There is a similar quotation that says something like, "the true strength of a person's character is not determined at the beginning of a relationship, but rather at the end of one".

Yes Sir, this is so true.  It's oh so easy to be a good person when all is going smooth.  The true judge of a person is who they are when everything is falling apart.

Lou, ratifies the old saying: "Character is not made in crisies, it is only exhibited." Enjoy your day!
