Core Communities annonced another biotech company Oregon Health & Science University's Vaccine and Gene Therapy Institute will be located at the Florida Center for Innovation at Tradition at the last Economic Development Council of Saint Lucie County meeting last week.

$53million from developers will pay for infrastructure, roads and water was reported in the Port saint Lucie News on January 11th, 2008.

It will be interesting to see if the competing biotech development efforts in Orange county hinder or compliment those in St. Lucie county. If both areas can survive long enoug, I think they are close enough to be mutually beneficial to each other, but only time will tell.
