Indio, CA is a great city for buyers to purchase a home. It is the largest city in the Coachella Valley, which means it has a lot of land still available to build on. In 2011, the City of Indio reported 205 permits were issued for new single family residential homes, showing the most growth in the Coachella Valley region.
Many areas of Indio have newer homes that are less than five years old. North of Interstate 10, you will find more than a dozen newer communities built in 2005
and 2006 that are gated and very appealing. In addition, this area has all new stores and shopping centers including the new Home Depot, Winco, Target, Big Lots, Marshalls, Subway, & Starbucks to name a few. If you haven't been to the newer, North area of Indio in a while, you really must check it out. It is like a whole new city in itself.
Neighboring cities of La Quinta and Palm Desert offer 4 bedroom homes but they are harder to come across and the price tag is usually a little higher.
