If you live in a city long enough, and have your camera handy, you can really help create a story. My camera helps me remember when Plaza Midtown Atlanta, A Midtown Atlanta Condominium Community was still being built.
I can further remember parking along the street when it was nothing but a vacant lot and we would walk across Spring Street to our favorite dance club, Blu. Ah those were the days my friends...we thought they'd....oh, wait, back to Plaza Midtown Atlanta! I owned a 2 bedroom home here for several years and had awesome views of Atlantic Station and beyond! (That's my former Mercedes in the picture too!)
Plaza Midtown Atlanta was completed in 2006. While it's twin oval towers are a skyline standout in Midtown Atlanta, the building is more noted for having the Publix Urban Market on the street level. This is THE major grocery store in Midtown proper. We do have a Trader Joe's in the Midtown Promenade, but the arrival of Publix was good news for Midtown Atlanta. Residents of Plaza Midtown can ride the elevator to the lower garage level and walk into the market without ever setting foot outside. Cool!
The twin towers of Plaza Midtown contain 452 1 and 2 bedroom condominium homes. The developer was oh so smart not to include any studio floor plans in this building. The design is interesting in that since there are two towers, you can know somebody that lives in one tower, and you in the other, and you might not see each other for days, or weeks. Each tower has its own lobby, concierge and elevators.
The Amenities Level of Plaza Midtown Atlanta is unique to Midtown Atlanta. The building has the largest pool of any Midtown Atlanta condominium building, and a great pool deck area as well. The clubroom and fitness center are located in a seperate building next to the pool. A work out in the winter can have a nippy addition to it as you dart from either building to the Clubroom! There is also two grilling areas located on the amenity level.
The retail space of Plaza Midtown Atlanta has filled in nicely with several restaurants. The location of the building is perfect for students or faculty of GATech University. The GATech Trolley stops across the street at the Midtown MARTA station. Speaking of MARTA...headed out of town on business or for a weekend getaway? Lock your door, walk across the street, and take the train to the airport. Awesome!
If you are looking to enjoy high rise living in Midtown Atlanta, let's take a look at Plaza Midtown Atlanta! And you too, could be just an elevator ride from the grocery store.
