Hi Marcus, we've done this once in a rental property. It came out great and it really is good option when the carpet itself is still in good shape but discolored or even if you would just like to change the color scheme of the house!

Interesting blog Marcus - I didn't realise that you could get bleach out of a carpet either. What about candle stains? My parents have a large candle stain on a carpet and they tried everything to get it out... mainly ironing over a piece of brown paper - didn't work!

Do I wish there had been this option for us in the early 90's when I pulled a bottle of Tilex out of my grocery bag and the top came off spilling bleach all over my carpet. We lived with it for a while as it was a light gray color but eventually had to replace it. Great concept. Thanks for sharing!!!!
