Downtown Newnan offers free parking all of the time and it has remained vibrant and alive! It's good for the local businesses.

many years ago we had parking meters, but in all the towns around here they have vanished.

Susan, Always smart to have some free parking available when you want to encourage more visitors downtown.  It's one of the things I don't like about going downtown for a ballgame here in Cincinnati, depending on where you park they may tag your for $20 or more just to leave your car for a few hours.

West Chester used to be a town where the parking on the street was always free.  A short while ago they decided to put meters in and I thought it was very bad business.   The town is always crowded but one of the perks was the free parking.  I'm guessing with vacations, the town is feeling the dearth of visitors and free parking is a sure way to get folks in.  It's a great town.  Rich, I will visit your town one of these days.  Tammy, they should disappear.  Bliz, $20 ormore for an already expensive ballgame isn't fair to families.
