Melting In The Heat? Move to Maine!

Heat wave got you down?

Are you melting in your present location?

This may be a great time to consider a move to Maine!

Just so you know, while much of the country is baking, it is a beautiful sunny 71 degrees right now in Auburn Maine.  Today's expected high temperature is a lovely 78.

Yes, we do have cold winters here, but probably not what you may expect.  We are not snowed under during the winter months, just pleasantly blanketed with the white stuff.

Enough to enjoy a wide array of winter recreational activities, and our towns are stocked with enough snow plows to keep our roads clear and keep us all out and about.

Unlike the misty, eerie, and rainy portrayal of Maine you often see in the movies, our summers are a mix of sunshine, blue skies, and emough rain to keep our gardens and lawns watered without the assistance of sprinklers.

Maine lobsterDid I mention that we have the most coastline of any of the states in this great nation?

...and of course, there's LOBSTAH!

If you are tired of the climate where you, give me a call.  I'd love to help you plan your relocation to Maine.

Sorry Kristen, had to put in the dig with a re-blog from an ex-Buffalonian.

What a fun creek or river to play in that you have featured.  We here in Ventura are experiencing mild temps as well, but I do know we will get some hotter weather soon, normally it does not last long and the good thing about living in this area is the temp goes down significantly when the sun sets.

Kathy:  It is always much better when you know it will cool down at night.

Not only do we have the most coastline, but we have over 2,200 named lakes (there are even more if you add in the UNNAMED lakes)...and there are many, many, many, more bodies of water statewide that don't fit the "lake" classification.  This is a GREAT place to live!

As a matter of fact, I am melting in my present location. As refreshing as that lake seems, I'm afraid moving to Maine is not an option right now but who knows what the future will bring?

So true Lisa!  You can't go 15 minutes in any direction without bumping into some sort of water.  :-)

I hope you get some relief soon Jill!  Let me know when you are ready to take the plunge and head north. :-)
