Practice Makes Perfect: Everyone Needs a Coach
We all hear the phrase "practice makes perfect" and that applies to most anything that you do in life. This "practice" is about my sport, bowling. Whenever something is not working correctly in your game, the best way tosolve the problem is to have a certified bowling instructor observe and diagnose the problem.
Coaches expertise can usually find the problem and have a solution. Implementation of the problem and correction, is the key to making the adjustments that will result in higher scoring.
In all the years of bowling, one thing for certain is there never is a substitute for practice. A coach observingthe practice, with their trained eyes will keep you on the right track.
There are many great bowlers in the world and all will have problems with their game at any given time. Most bowlers will look to a fellow bowler to assist them, but that is not always the best idea. They have the best of intentions and know the cause of the problem, but usually not the correction. This is why certified instructors are well worth the money and time spent.
Many years ago I had the opportunity to know many of the top professionals on the bowling tour. My observationswere that no matter how great they were, even the best in the world still need coaching. Earl Anthony told me that he had a coaching sessions on a monthly basis.
With all the new technology, one can observe their own techniques on video and try to correct the problem. The important point for bowling and for most anything in life, is to visualize yourself completing the action perfectly.
Focusing on that action as you perform will become second nature and become easier to repeat that desired action.
As they say "practice makes perfect"!
