Good shot of days gone by. Actually I remember using a similar hay cutter when Iwas just a boy in Eau Claire, Michigan, we had a farm and would cut hay for the livestock.
I bet there are a few farmers who are glad to see the cutter sitting rather than having to use it.

Most people probably have never seen one of these in action, I know we had one on the farm when I was a child, but since we had a tractor, we never used the horse version.
Rob, That is another great photo! I bet that implement has made a lot of hay in it's day!
