It has been a while since I blogged on Active Rain, I left the wagon for a little bit, but today will be the first day for me to get back on the wagon more regularly from now on. Barbara Todaro, thank you for checking on me!
I just passed my Arkansas Real Estate Broker's license exam yesterday, and I am so excited! That's one of the reasons I was absent here for a while, I had classes to go, studied and have business going on at the same time, it was not easy for me. As a matter of fact, it was quite overwhelming at times.
The journey started in February this year. The State of Arkansas Real Estate Commission (AREC) sent an email to every active licensed agent about the 2012 AREC Broker Candidate Education Pilot Project. It is a free program and candidates had to send in their application and met the requirements which included:
1. Applicants should be active Arkansas Resident Salespersons who meet the current requirements for Broker licensure, including experience, state and federal background search requirements.
2. Applicants will be expected to complete and submit the 2012 Broker Candidate Pilot Project Participiant Application, in order to be considered to participate.
I needed to include my 2010 and 2011 sales records, why they needed to pick me as a candidate for this project. There were 3 classes in 3 different locations on 3 different dates for each of them, there were about 20-22 candidates in each class. I was selected and got my confirmation email at the beginning of April, and my class started in mid April for 3 consecutive days, we went back in mid June for the post license class no matter if you already took your exam or not. I took mine yesterday and I passed!
I am now waiting for my Principal Broker to assign me either as the Executive Broker or Associate Broker. I am ready and excited to start a new level in my career. My experience of this Pilot Project is nothing but great! Everyone in the class was so helpful and friendly, I made some new friends and enjoyed it so much, I am glad I was chosen.
Now I have more free time to get back on the blogging wagon of Active Rain, I see you guys around.
