We all tend to admire people and animals who exhibit high standards.

As we watch the squirrels in our back yard, we cannot help but notice the daily return of a select six.

These guys have goals, perseverance and exhibit their enjoyment of life and their thrill with seed success.

Like obtaining any commodity their success is based upon their speed of extraction and their agility in gaining access to the feeder.

Since the feeder was originally intended for birds, the access to it depends upon basic flying ability.

Squirrel access comes from traveling down the squirrel highway across the back fence.  From there most chose to jump to the roof of a hanging feeder on a tree within an easy swing of the stationary feeder atop an old ski.  Any landing point on that feeder netted seeds.

That is unless a more aggressive squirrel took exception to the newest arrival.

There were two of the six most prominent visitors who governed who else could feed and when.

When access was denied, the others had to repeat the access price endure over and over.

Repeat they did over and over until their goal was achieved.

How hungry are you?  Do you continue to Strive toward your goals?  Do you allow more aggressive agents to deter your efforts?

Or are you one of the select few who will continue to pursue your goals and dreams?

It seems that it always boils down to your standards, and how hungry you really are.

Wow that is a lot of squirrel, I wonder what the birds think? We have Blue Jays here that can almost tackle a squirrel there are days when you can hear them screaming at the squirrels while running them off.
