Walls of Water!
Hello Laura,
Looks like some of the recent storms we have had here in Carlsbad.
I love the shot. You did a really good job catching the instant the clouds opened up. Thanks for sharing the shot with us here in the Active Rain Community.
Have a wonderful day in Wisconsin.
Best, Clint Mckie
Laura, great photo. This brings back memories of my dad. When I was a young child he would always point off into the distance and say, "Look at the wall of rain." I am glad you got some rain! We need it in Texas.
We just had a nice downpour here too in Waukesha....I wanted to run outside and do a happy rain dance!
Laura-It is great when you finally get that much needed rain. We are expecting some tomorrow night and Friday so I will be happy because I won't have to water. Now I don't know about you but I would love to see our buddy Kristin do a happy dance. Smiling Have a great day busy girl.
The rain keeps teasing us.... We need a good soaking here on the Crystal Coast! Glad to see you guys got a little relief, and love the pic! Have a great day!
Hey GF, I've MISSED you! Thank goodness you got some well needed rain. Your photos looks ominous like a tornado - very cool. Most of the grass in our area looks much the same - all burned out from the hot sun. It's been in the high 90's here in NJ! We could use a little rain ourselves!
Hi Laura, I love your shot of those threatening clouds! I am coming up to Wisconsin on July 27 for 4 days to stay at my friend's house in Baribou and hope for good weather because we plan to do some canoeing on the Baribou River or the Wisconsin! Hope there won't be another heat wave
Hi Laura,
We finally had a rain today as well... This summer have been too hot.
Tatyana
Laura - could you please send some of that our way? And, we could use some cooling off, as well - long summer already.
Good Morning Clint, Thank you! I had to pull over and capture this as we haven't even had the threat of rain in a long time.
Sharon P, it gives me great pleasure when I am able to bring anyone back to a wonderful childhood memory. Thank you for sharing that!
Thanks Jason, the luck you sent our way payed off! I wish you the very same.
Kristen, I did run out and do the happy dance in the rain! My little grand daughter and I. Don't hold back chica. Seize the moment! That's what makes life so amazing. :)
Sharon L, you naughty girl! But I have to admit,... I have a feeling there are a lot of people that would just love to see the most adorable Kristen out in the rain doing the happy dance (forgive me Kristen!). LOL!
I sure hope you guys get some soon Amy. I cannot picture that beautiful lush area not thick and green!
Hey Kristine, I miss you all as well. Wishing you plenty of rain to give relief to the heat and drought. Man it's been one hot and dry summer! On the positive note, I haven't had to schlep furniture through the rain and mud this year!
Oh Joanna, you are going to have a blast! Any chance you'll get to swing by Madison and we could have lunch on the way? I would just love to meet you.
I sure hope you get more than that Shar. If you are as dry as we are, it's quite sureal. Just doesn't register in my head that this is the way we look so early in the season.
I am so glad you got some rain also Tatyana! So refreshing in this hot dry summer.
Thanks Conrad, doing my best! I hope you are able to do the same.
It has been a really long summer for us Juli, I can only imagine what you guys are going through. I'll do my best to send some your way!
We finally did my Zinger friend! I don't know if it is going to save the crops (looking very dismal) but we did get a good soaking. Hang in there! I think it is heading your direction.
Laura, we've finally gotten the rain we need here in Alabama...grass is back to green.
Hello Nick, we are getting a little at a time now. No green grass yet, but after this next week,... maybe? Our crops are in dangerous condition (we are now in "Extreme Drought" conditions). Even our trees are struggling with many loosing the battle. I am glad to hear your area is greening up nicely. :)
Yes many parts of North America are in drought glad to see some rain in Jefferson County.
We are now in Extreme Drought Conditions, but there is hope this week of rain. I do hope we get all that is in the forcast!
