Another SPAM in my mailbox. It never stops.
SPAM is like cockroaches! Even with the best insecticide and my old, beat-up pointed Tony Llama boots, I can never seem to kill them all. It's soooo frustrating!
This arrived in my mailbox today. And I keep getting them/ 5 to 12 of these a week.
I've had enough.
Note the obvious issues with this email.
1.) It's crapily formatted. Big give-a-way here.
2.) The email SAYS: it's from email@example.com and someone named "John" but NO last name. Hmmmmm.
3.) Unsubscribe is from yet another email: http://webdevelopmentincincinnati.com... blah blah blah
Here's the bigger problem: You CLICK that and you confirm your email and you get MORE spam.
Gee, isn't that just special?
I've had enough with jerks like this that do nothing more than waste my time and interrupt my day with SPAM and fradulent offers with not-so-cleverly disguised website domains.
The jerk behind this whole SCAM is in Ohio, and here he is:

I want your help. There's money in it for you when we win. $1,000 per email. (Yes, REALLY. Read the Colorado Anti-SPAM Law.) If anyone has had this same email or a similar one, all you have to do is simply print a copy of this and mail it to me at:
c/o Bart Wilson
590 Hwy 105 Suite 276
Monument, CO 80132
I will schedule an appointment to visit with the assistant District Attorneys office to file a formal SPAM complaint against them for violating the Colorado SPAM laws. If you've never read it, here it is. It's quite toothy.
This email clearly cites " clear intent to defraud the receiver by disguising where the email originally came from," and this is why in Colorado, the penalties are quite severe for those foolhardy enough to test it.
Once the case is filed against them, they have 30 days to appear.
If they fail to appear, a motion for default judgement is issued and a bench warrant is then issued for their arrest. Suffice it to say, it gets expensive and uglier for them from there.
HELP ME NAIL THESE SPAMMERS.
Mail me a hard copy of the emails like these you've received and I'll take it from here. I'll post progress on this case as I get updates.
