I remember being in school and the teachers wheeling in a TV to watch rocket launches in class.  That was the only time we were allowed to do that and we were all so excited! Makes me sad that those days are over.  Amazing men and women were involved in that program.

Mike -- okay, so you are saying this man on the moon thing happened and not just on a television set?  WOW -- what will they think of next?

I do remember it well, and I also remember so many doubters thinking it was a made up event done on a Hollywood set to promote the space agenda

Mike, How well I remember Neil Armstrong's walk on the moon. I was just returning from Viet Nam. We were all glued to the TVs back then, and wandered who far man would be able to travel next.

Boy oh boy, Mike!  I remember this so well!  And it's easy to forget how exciting it was to see even a fuzzy picture like that from the moon.  Now we're so spoiled with our hi def stuff from everywhere, including outer space.  That landing was a miracle and thanks for the reminder.

Thanks for sharing this with us Mike, a classic positive in a turbulent time from our country.

Mike one of the big disappointments in my life is that we have yet to go back or on to Mars.  Man was meant to explore.
