Follow Actions But Not Always

By
Real Estate Agent with Keller Williams Realty 0575737

Confused ThoughtThey say actions speak louder than words and IN GENERAL follow the actions of someone to learn who they are and what makes them up. But ever the contrarian I am in life about things I say hold on there Tonto.

Not true in an ABSOLUTE SENSE.

Follow Actions But Not Always....

What you say as you ask Yoda with a raised eyebrow? The exception to the rule is related to the zig zag nature of life, human frailty and people, others and ourselves, making MISSTEPS or mistakes. Wow, what a novel idea? Making mistakes. With actions you have to give it a chunk of time for consistency.

The most common reason for action not being the true path someone will end up on is "confused thought." We don't get it right each time. In real estate you would be amazed the patterns and actions of a buyer on day one vs. day 120 in looking for a house. They are much more well informed given some time and KNOW WHAT'S OUT THERE.

Always give people a break with their actions and not so hard edged, black and white with people. We all live in grey zones, have growth spurts, and have to learn on our own. Actions are important, BUT WITH TIME......

Tonto-Interesting observance but I am the contrarian in this case because I do believe actions speak louder than words more often than they don't but that is MY humble opinion.

I'm constantly working on my gray zone.  I tend to be very "love" or "hate" and need to read wise posts like this one to ground me.  Thank you.

You're right, there's a world of difference between a buyer on day 1 and that same buyer on day 120. Human nature.

Mmnn. More food for thought. I'm digesting this, but I'm thinking that you are saying that's it's okay not to have a strong feeling all of the time ( lack of action) - and that,  taking the time to learn may provide a better conclusion in the long run. And, possibly,  that it's the immediate "action' that can lead to mistakes or missteps. Oh man, now my brain hurts.

Gary, There are many grey areas. And, in real estate we do find that a buyer is much more informed after 120 days of looking for a home than when we first meet them.  By that time they do know what's out there, and in our market they learn to move a bit more quickly.

I was taught that actions speak louder than words!

I have a lot of ultra left wing friends, but because their actions speak louder I forgive their rhetoric.
