I am in the same group, I have it, but really haven't used it YET! Thanks for the tips.
Hi Kathy, I think that it is very adaptable for your business, too. Your projects would have a lot of the same components like client info, contractor info, Supplies and Equipment, photos, emails and voice mails, texts.
Hi Doug, and Kathy, just like me, I left it for a while and thought it was less valuable than it it is.
Hi Sharon, If you can't make the webinar, how do you set it for unattended recording. This could be great use for me.
Take picture of all your receipts and store them in a file on Evernote.
Walking remote way to show receipts at a moments notice.
Hi Erv, so true. Just tag them with 2012 Tax Deductible tag, for example, for the ones that qualify, and then at the end of the year you can search the tag and add them up or maybe share a financial notebook with your accountant.
Sandy I'm pretty excited as I'm going to class tomorrow given by the guy who created Evernote. I have it but haven't used it much....which is really silly because I know it's so good.
Evernote sounds like it could be a important tool to have access to Sandy.
Sandy I'm featuring this in Bananatude. I have had Evernote for a while but have only just recently began to use it within the past 2 months. Right now I'm only using it for journaling, but the capabilities are awesome.

Hi Sandy - Great info! I got Evernote about 6 months back, and didn't use it much at first. But now I'm finding that it's turning out to be just what I need in more and more cases. It's a great little program.
I've been hearing more and more how it can be used and i redownloaded it to my new phone for reciepts storage. I will have to use it for other stuff now too! Thanks!
Sandy
Thanks for the lessons on Evernote - glad to see you write this after our email exchange the other day! I have yet to use it, despite knowing what a great tool it can be (and after reading this!). Now I'm inspired.
Jeff
I keep hearing about Evernote but have never really investigated it. Thanks for the explanation, Sandy. I shall have to take the leap.
Hi Sandy, funny your post comes up today as I had finished drafting my own first blog post in Evernote! I just started using it and haven't really had a lot of time to explore it but I'm liking it already!
Hi Tom, It can be used by a lot of different businesses. If you have anything that you don't want to forget, this will help you.
Hi Charita, it can be used for so many things as I soon found out. Thanks for the feature in Bananatude!
Hi Dick, it can be adaptable to huge or minor projects, or just recipes and reminders. But it can be used successfully in real estate.
Hi Amy, congrats on the new phone and since you already have it, there is no sense in wasting it.
Hi Jeff, it is was our email exchange and the extra research I did because of it that prompted me to write this post. See how inspirational you are! Thanks again!
Hi Jane, you won't regret it, and please contact me if you have any difficulty.
Hi Silvia, what is great about doing you blog post in Evernote is that you will have a backup of the post; you can add the url to the post at the top or bottom of the note note, and then if ever you need to search for it again, it is very searchable in a lot of different ways.
Hi Jaime, I use the email feature when I am emailing something, I use the bcc to the email for evernote and I have the email saved for future easy locating. Something new that I just learned about is that when you have gmail and you 'star" an email, you can set it up so that whatever is starred goes into Evernote. I tried it, it is easy, let me know if you want me to send you the how-to.
Sandy - I have Evernote on all my devices, and my goal is to go paperless entirely. I hope that is possible. :)
Just starting to use Evernote. Your post is opening the great potential of what I can use it for. Thanks!
Sandy:
good information. I have been using Google docs and that has worked for me. I see I should try using Evernot for more functions. Thanks.
Sandy,
I recently downloaded this app to my ipad. I haven't really delved into using it because I have been short on time. Your blog has given me the incentive to get into using Evernote. Any other tips you have would be greatly appreciated.
Kerry
Hi Yolanda, that is a worthy goal for sure! I used to be so attached to paper. If I couldn't see it or touch it, it did not exist. I'm better now, especially since there is not the problem of storing paper and then trying to find it again.
Hi Carolyn, you're welcome. Glad to help!
Hi Evelyn, nice to hear from you! I like the fact that you can keep all facets of an RE transaction in one place, within one note. I don't think I can do that with google docs.
I need to research some of these tools. I downloaded it and then didn't do anything.
Hi Kerry, There are a few more tricks that I have learned and will blog them, too!
Hi Karen, I did the same thing because I thought Dropbox and Evernote were kind of similar and I needed to research to figure it out. They both have their uses, but for everyday real estate transactions, I don't forget anything with Evernote. That you can create a link to any important document and have it come up when you need it, is huge.
Hello Sandy,
I'm brand new here and at the stage where I don't even know what I don't know. For example, I recently missed a class on "getting the most out of evernote". Until now I didn't know what it was. Now all I can say is thank you for the enlightenment, and how I must attend more of those office training classes.
Thanks again,
Dennis
Sandy -- I can't wait to use this whenever I get that iPhone 5. Have a blackberry now and it's impossible with that. Thanks for all your ideas. I am bookmarking for the time I am able to get the app on my new phone.
Hi Sandy,
Evernote sounds like a good tool to help my business.
I'll be checking this out shortly.
Have a fabulous week!
Wow looks like you have enlightened a lot of us. I can't imagine something so helpful and I haven't even a clue. One more thing I need to learn about.
Sandy - I think I have a lot to learn about Evernote. I've heard it's cool, but this sounds amazing.
Hi Dennis, for sure, don't be truant again! :)
Hi Barbara, I turned in my Blackberry last year for a Droid and haven't regretted it. You'll love the iphone and these new apps!
Hi Cheryl, I hadn't heard of Cartavi before, but it sounds a little like Dropbox. I will check that out.
Hi Wandanna, check it out, I think you will see its potential.
Hi Sherry, that is the best about AR. The new things you can learn.
Hi Christine, I think this one has staying power.
I love evernote! I read their blog to see how others are using it and it gave me lots of ideas. Everyday, I am using it more and more. I think the hardest part is just deciding on how you want to organize your files. But you can move your notes and notebooks areound so that helps.
sounds interesting, I'll have to check it out. I've been writing my posts in word then copying and pasting into the blog.
Sandy: Can you send me the how to on the Starred gmail! I see where you can star the emails but how do you get them to Evernote? You can email me at brendamoore59@gmail.com or post here for all!
Thanks

Hi Michele, yes it is very adaptable to your own work habits. I'm still tweaking mine all the time!
Hi Norma, Anytime! Just holler if you need help
Hi Mike, I was told that copy and paste from Word was not the best way, as it brings hidden formatting along with it and it sometimes causes problems. Evernote, google docs, Scribefire are just some of the ones that work better.
Saw this on FB....NOw I need to go and use Evernote...downloaded a month ago :)
Hi Brenda, I sent you the email. Thanks for stopping by.
Hi Rebecca, Yup, do it!
OK, I just installed Evernote onto my Mac. Evernote was previously to me, only an obscure Droid app. I pasted this entire post and comments to it. Turned out quite nicely. This could be promising.
Well today, I figured out that I can send my emails from my gmail to Evernote. Everyone has a given email address with Evernote. You go into your gmail and find the email you want to send to Evernote. Click onto that email - in the To box find your Evernote email addy in your contacts list. Then in the Subject line type the notebook and tags to where you want your email to go.
Example: @Cooking #pies #chocolate
Your email will then go directly to your Cooking Notebook with pie and chocolate tagged.
Very cool.

Hi Dave, it is promising and really helps you keep track of a lot of stuff! And you didn't even have to paste it. If you had the Evernote web clipper, you could have used it to copy the entire article, entire page or just the url into a new note. If you don't have this then you could just copy the url into a note. That way, when you click on the url you will see the latest comments as well.
Hi Brenda, congrats on doing it! I mentioned this in my post, but only in passing. I find that any email in a transaction can be copied (bcc) to the file, and in this way and then you have all the bits and pieces of a transaction together in one spot.
We have it on our IPAD but haven't used it yet. You've given us some ideas and it does sound promising...
Hi Mark, great! Hope you find it useful.
Hi Larry and Sheila, never to lose something or to find something again easily is promising!
Sandy~ Thanks for recommending evernote, it's a great tool and should help-out tons,,,thanks!
You are correct, I use Evernote for all kinds of things, including those keybox and shackle code numbers!
Hi Sandy,
Your post sounds exciting! I'm trying to learn all about Evernote but a newbie in that tech area. I'm looking for a good tutorial to make good use of it. You certainly are putting Evernote to good use and I admire you for your skill.
Thanks, Sandy -- I'm just learning about EverNote and glad to see there are many who are speaking of its many benefits.
Sandy- I got Evernote but never really could think of what to use it for except as you said.. grocery lists. I'm going to review it now.
