Schaumburg Illinois Real Estate Statistics - For July, 2012 - Single Family Homes, Townhomes, Land

As of July 24, 2012, there were 160 single family homes on the market in Schaumburg (excluding Auction properties), as compared to 246 homes on March 14^th ranging from 144,900 to $1,900,000.

During the past month, 41 properties in Schaumburg have closed ranging in price from 132,950 to one at $775,000 with everything else falling below $500,000 (4 in the 400’s and 6 in the 300’s – meaning that 30 closed properties are below $300,000) in comparison to just 17 on March 14^th.  There are currently 87 properties under contract, as compared to 83 on March 14^th

In the townhome and condo market in Schaumburg, there are currently 252 listed properties, as compared to 312 listed properties on March 14^th (excluding Auction properties) ranging in price from 34,900 to $524,900.  During the past month – 50 properties closed, as compared to 43 properties on March 14th, ranging in price from $39.500 to $244,500.  A total of 153 condos and townhomes are under contract (many of which are short sale properties that have languished under contract for months.)   

There are 16 listings for land in Schaumburg IL, raging in price from $99,900 to $2,000,000, though no land has closed during the past month.  There is no land under contract in Schaumburg at the moment.

We wrote in March “The market is certainly starting to heat up in Schaumburg -  with many more buyers looking for properties as the temperatures warm.   It surely did heat up.  It was like a buyer feeding frenzy this spring – with low rates and low home prices, and the buyers are still out in force this summer.
