Live a Full & Rich Life: It’s Awesome!

Holding on to resentment & anger is deleterious to your state of mind, and a tort to yourself. A great example of what I mean- “holding on to resentment or anger is like holding a tiny bomb in your hand with intent to hand it off to some-one else”

Believe it or not getting angry directly impacts negatively towards yourself and others. Most of the time getting mad and showing anger is viewed as reprimanding the other person and proving a point. Anger is sometimes used on others as a weapon, but when that happens, the only one that gets hurt by the weapon; “is the one using it as a weapon”.  Don’t get confused, anger or resentment is negative to hold onto, and can do serious harm to an individual.

Live a Full & Rich Life: It’s Awesome!

“That drive me crazy, that gave me a headache, you just got me so mad”- I’m sure we’ve all caught ourselves using the above terms. In reality, we should not let others and their actions get in the way of our own actions. We must show our own self-control when others show bad behaviors; their bad behaviors can’t make you behave badly. I believe, how we respond is solely on us individually.

It’s true that anger usually stems from a reaction; it’s also true resentment is a decision. If you really want to feel great about yourself and want others to see that image of you, letting go of any resentment is mandatory, letting go of all resentment and refusing to let resentment enter your state of mind is the first step. Because anger can be a reaction, there are always possibilities anger can strike you, it’s also true once it happens, and controlling it and your own actions is on you and no one else. The individuals that live life without anger or resentment live a full & rich life.Live a Full & Rich Life: It’s Awesome!

Lets shake things up at your home today!

Interesting that you wrote this today Mr. K, since most of the day I've been harboring some anger and resentment towards someone on ActiveRain and I just can't seem to shake it.  When someone "does me wrong" I deal with it, blast them between the eyes and move on.  But when they do something that affects the life of someone I care about or an innocent person, that sticks in my craw and I have to admit I have a tough time shaking it.  I've actually put myself in jackpots because of this type of thing as you know............it happened last November with my job.  As much as I agree with what you are saying and I think it's excellent advice, it's something that I have a hard time with..........always have, probably always will...............BUT, I do feel I live a full and rich life in so many ways.

R.M. I hope your flight arrived in Newark with style and class! Knock a drink down for me while you're there!

I get what you say about having a hard time, just as I think your life is full and rich. It’s never easy to let terrible events go, and yes it's way harder to let go when it's a child, family, friend, or innocent individual that gets injured, but resentment only hurts the person resenting...My feeling is today is the best day, lets live it that way, yesterday’s history.
