Thoughts on being a Real Estate Agent

button for win-win

In the course of my activity, it is not uncommon for me to explain my business methods. This is a far cry from being asked to  justify myself.

In past eons I have been queried on being a hunter or a farmer, as though Real Estate has been with man since primitive times.

Part hunter: I look for clients who have problems and I solve those problems - for money.

Part farmer: I nurture my "farm" over long periods of time so that in the long term I can benefit from all my activity (hopefully providing timely, relevant positive advice, being the go-to Agent, being there in the time of need, providing the shoulder etc) - for money.

I seek clients from a multiplicity of ways so that I may may have a long term business, a career

Regardless of my approach I am rewarded for activity.

I choose to be bound by a Code of Ethics. I provide a valuable service in the community. I  look for a Win-Win in all outcomes.

Things are so different from the west to the southeast, but what remains is a few that may go a little extra mile. For those they really appreciate it, the others just think it's expected.

Patricia - certainly feels like that a lot of times. Getting people to make their own decisions is a constant challenge.

Winston - Going the extra mile can be the basis of win - win. I hear you that it is mostly expected, possibly not often appreciated.
