Thanks Lisa for bringing this topic to our attention. I'm definitely guilty of leaving the varupious chargers plugged in around the house. It's time to change that habit and save some money off the energy bill.

I've heard that premise before.  I need to figure out how to put the fridge, freezer and AC on one breaker panel with a separate Main Breaker and everything else in a different breaker panel with a main breaker.  Then I could just flip the breaker when we leave home and all the phantoms would disappear!

Happy Sunday Lisa! I have always been WattWise and hate wasting energy. Not so much because of the cost but for the waste of natural resources needed to create it. The cost of waste is only like 3 dollars per year for the consumer I read once for things left plugged in but there is also the carbon emissions which is another issue. Good reminder to pay attention to your wasting energy!

Hi Lisa.  I look around my home and see 7 chargers in different plugs.  Yikes!

Yikes, you don't know, what you don't know. I owe you big time on this one. I can't believe all the stuff that is plugged in and not really being used.

Good morning Silvia,

Everyone is guilty...hard to believe when you walk through one's home or office how many devices are using energy when they are actually not in use!

Good morning Jeanne,

That would be the thing to do, but it may take quite a bit of re-wiring!

Good morning Conrad,

Guess what, I can safely guess that you are not alone...I am sure most homes (especially if someone has a home office too) have at least that many!

Good morning Joe,

I think it surprises most people...then, you start adding in the number of clocks that are on - and in appliances too...sheesh!
