TECHNOLOGY IS GREAT BUT DO YOU HAVE A VOICE?

By

I'm getting tired of people happy with  just emailing or texting and never bothering to call and TALK!! I want to help you but there's just so much you can convey through modern technology. I like to hear and get to know the person who possibly wants my assistance. After 6 or 7 emails or texts, and then they say, "Can I see this house?" I have to actually ask them to please call me so we can discuss making an appt and their availability etc! And then, it takes days before I get the phone call or not at all! IS IT JUST ME OR DOES THIS BOTHER YOU TOO?? I know I am a  human being but sometimes I feel like one of those automated response lines that some companies give you as an option if the live reps are busy! Technology has taken over human interaction and I'm not so sure I like it!!!

One thing that I had to do was do some googling and searching of the differences between generations "X, Y & Z"  It has actually helped me a lot when I couldn't figure out why my own nephew (Mr. Techy) who was working for me wouldn't ever pick up the phone and "talk" to me.   I've learned a lot about who to talk to, who to email, who to text and what works best.  I'm curious if anyone else has had the same experiences with the new generations?

I'll answer my phone and have preliminary discussions with rental prospects and THEN I want to communicate electronically so that I can continue to communicate with regard to who is in a different timezone and still sleeping

Yes, Shanna I have found that 20's thru 30's like texting over talking, that's for sure, but do eventually talk to you on phone.

Wallace, I do the same thing, I will start off talking and get some kind of relationship and familiarity then change over to text and email for ease. At least we talk to them at some point!! I have people that would me with me without ever talking and that's what I'm trying to get away from!!
