Eco-Chic, or Eco-Cheeky?

By
Industry Observer with Nature As Neighbors

Green Toenails?Colored nail polish can be a fun way to express yourself. According to fashion writer Jay Arnold, here's what your polished mani-pedi might be telling the world.

Taupes and Natural Shades - You're an all American, clean cut girl

Bright Pink: Barbie pink is for light - hearted and optimistic girls

Grey - Cool fashion maven with an attitude to match

Hot Neon - Energetic and confident

Dark Shades - Don't mess with me femme fatale

French Pink - Classy and composed

Cool Metallic - Tough - this is no damsel in distress

Classic Red - Sophisticated Siren who knows her labels

Gem tone - Baroque loving, eclectic lasses

      Blinged out:  True glamour girls.

As an EcoBroker, instead of wearing my heart on my sleeve, I opted for my toes by choosing a mossy green nail polish. But, I'm wondering what my recently polished toes are really telling the world. What do you think?

EcoChic or EcoCheeky?

Are they Eco-chic?
Are they Eco-cheeky?

Your mama may not wear combat boots, but her toes do?
Uh oh, the wet Pacific Northwest weather has finally caught up to her - Moss toes?
British Racing Green - fast feet?

Or, feel free to add your own description...I can take it.

David, you never know when their green might be showing. ;)

Janis, Yeah, am I brave or stupid?  Lol.  I usually do a natural taupe, I've done French, and like it, as it's clean. My nails are NOT green, they are a pinkish natural color.

I'll bet your pink nails add panache to whatever color you wear.

Lol, okay Leslie. Do you mean that I took an hour for pedicure? Or, that I'm writing about it?  I just wanted to have a little fun and promote my "love of green." And, after a long week of work and more work, I needed a quick treat and an hour to relax. Maybe a massage next time? Thanks for dropping by...

Thanks Chris Ann...it's growing on me. ( Not in the mossy, fungal sense...) :)

Alexandra, of course? Sophisticated, knows her "luxury brands" you would have classic red toenails. I'll be they looked great in the surf.

Anita, I can always tell by my toes how busy I am. LOL. They were looking in need of help before I went yesterday. Ha.

Debb-I would say you are trying to blend in with your surroundings. Females in nature do that you know. If I went with green it would be EMERALD green metallic.

It's a combo of dark shades with natural.  So we shouldn't be messing with the all American girl ;-)

Debb, Have you considered a career as a toe model?  Those nails remind me of an olive in a martini without the martini. Funny and gutsy post.

Hi Debb-I totally get it, perhaps it’s because I also live in the northwest. I think it's about blending in, a quietly confident fashion statement.

Debbie, The personality by color is a bit tongue and cheek, but it seemed like a fun post and a good way to reinforce by "green" soul and business leanings.

Ya never know Shannon!

Lloyd, naw...no modeling in my future. Thanks for the comments and I'm glad you caught the fun and humor in this...as intended. ;)

Hi Ellen, nature toes works for me. I like that.

Adrian, of course "you" get it...

I'm all about variety in my life, so I change my color to fit my mood OR the season! For July 4th, I usually do blue big toes and alternating red and white smaller toes. When spring arrives, I'll do cheerful, Easter-y pastels, but summer = pow! shades like coral, turquoise, or any shade with a sparkle overlay! Come fall, I'm into the coppers, golds, and wines, while Christmastime usually means festive red or green. I love your eco-friendly color and think it suits you perfectly. :)
