I love a delicious green salad for lunch and am always on the hunt for a fabulous new salad stop to add to my favorite eating spots on The Hill aka Palos Verdes Peninsula. Last week I was in the Lunada Bay neighborhood of Palos Verdes Estates showing property and if it's mealtime and I'm in the area I always stop at St. Honore French Bakery for their delightful Tahitian Chicken Salad (with tiny slivers of crusty French bread). I wish I had taken a picture as it looked good enough to eat, and that's exactly what I did. However, the portion was so generous I enjoyed it again with dinner. I always admire their tempting pastries but leave them safely ensconced in the display case.
The Admiral Risty, located in the Golden Cove Shopping Center at Palos Verdes Drive West and Hawthorne Blvd. in Rancho Palos Verdes, makes a delicious Caesar Salad with Parmesan crusted chicken breast. The dressing is light and the croutons are crunchy. It never fails to satisfy my desire for a light and delicious green meal.
Beach City Grill in San Pedro wins my vote for best Chinese Chicken Salad. The plate is piled high and can easily be split with a fellow diner. Located on W. 6th Street the small eatery consistently receives 4 to 5 stars from reviewers on Yelp and other sites. Their expansive menu will astound you.
