We all work hard to make our clients happy, make sure that they will remember what you have done for them. Of course, most of them don’t even realize through how many loops and hoops we should jump to make a deal go through, especially in today’s market. And when I meet with my clients for the first time, either seller or buyer, I never think how much money I will make. Making them happy is most important to me! Short and simple.
And it is especially rewarding when you have your past clients calling you back, and referring you to their friends and family.
Last week I received an email from my past client’s daughter, who was looking for a rent in another state. She is about to start college there and was asking me if I can help her find a rent for her there. Well, you as realtors know, to work with rentals for very little money is not easy... And I knew I would be working for free trying to find her an agent who will help her with her search. Because, let’s face it, I would never ask for a 25% referral fee an agent, who will make $200.00 (in the best way) on the transaction.
I did my search, called a couple of agents, and set her up with a great agent who knew the area pretty well.
With a satisfied feeling that I helped another person, I moved on to my next client.
Can you imagine how surprised I was when this girl along with her mom showed up at my office with a huge basket of fruit?
Yes, they just stopped by to thank me! By the way, it was a 30 minute drive for them.
What can I say, I am speechless... I love my job, no matter how much money I make. I just love helping people.
