The number for New Mexico, I think is a little low. I see bald Eagles along the River and flying over my home all the time.

Those are pretty specific numbers.  I wonder how they come up with them.  And 3 or 4 pairs in a state?  They sure?

Clint, Thay may be this is from 2007 with states from 2004 or later. These are breeding pairs so I do not know if they can account for non -breeding pairs.

 

Jay, Some of those numbers so look low. But maybe they like to breed in other areas.

I have heard of bald eagles in CT, they are rare ,but until this year have never seen. I saw one near my house earlier this and a second one just a few weeks ago. Those numbers might be a little low, which is a good thing in my mind. Awesome shot btw.

Jim, We have a buch here. There is a major nesting area on the Skagit river up by where Steve Smith lives.
