August in Norwalk CT marks the end of the Summer, the Spring market and the beginning of the Fall housing market rush.  It's time to take a look at what happened last month and what are the opportunities for the months to come....

Norwalk CT Single Family Homes Sold July 2012

In the month of July, there were a total of 61 single family homes that sold.  The majority of them were priced below $700,000, which is a great entry point for New England.  The least expensive home that sold wa a foreclosure in South Norwalk having 3 bedrooms and 1.5 baths. This property sold for $110,490. One the other end of the pricing spectrum was a Rowayton 4 bedroom, 3.5 bathroom home on the water in the Pine Point Association which sold for $2,695,000!

Norwalk August 2012 Active Homes for Sale

Currently there are 435 single family homes available for sale in Norwalk.  157 of them are priced below $399,999 - what an opportunity for the investor and first time home owner!  The least expensive home is priced at $145,000, it's a 3 bedroom/2 bathroom bank foreclosure.  If you are looking for new construction in the Shorehaven Community, it can be found with a listing price of 5,750,000- 5 bedrooms, 5 full bathrooms and 2 powder rooms.

Kimberly --Great info for buyers and sellers in the Norwalk market. It's a great place for the NYC commuter to live.  That is unbelievable getting into Norwalk for $145K! Buyers better not wait too long, though. Mortgage rates and pricing will not stay where they are forever.
