IMHO * this is unnecessary.....I have $25 dial key boxes installed on all of my sfr properties.  It allows vendors and service people to access the property while residents are at work or are away AND I can give the combination to residents if they get locked out.

It took just one military wife with small baby whose house keys were in her lost luggage to make me realize that this should not be a profit center.

I also provide 2 entry door keys to all residents at the inception of the lease

@Wallace - So, you have 600 lockboxes, containing 600 different keys, on 600 different properties? I like your idea, but the logistics scare me . . .
