The number of homes sold in the Sumter South Carolina in the month of June increase from 71 in May to 81 in June.  While the numbers of homes sold in Sumter County showed an increase in June Sumter county is still behind prior years numbers.  The pendings at the end of June indicate that the July numbers may be comparable to July 2011 sales, but aren’t expected to be high enough to pick up for the lower numbers in April.

Second the Median price in Sumter was virtually unchanged between May and June.  The Average $ per Square Foot decreased from $72.64 in May to $69.79 in June.

The charts for June are below and seeing the June numbers fall closer in line with 2010 and 2011 numbers is a positive note after the lower numbers in April.  The year to date sales will need to see an increase to obtain the 2010 and 2011 sales levels.  If you are going to be selling a home in 2012, now is the time to contact a Realtor to do a walk through and discuss pricing and any repairs or improvements that can be complete to sell your property.  For more information or a free walk thru, please call me at 803-840-7519.

Profit from my two decades of experience

Kim, let keep our fingers crossed that there will be a rally that will last until Christmas. It does look like sales have been trending up since April. Good report.
