Ahhhh, summertime in the Pacific Northwest! Today's weather forecast says we may be right around the 90 degree mark, and since we started off the morning with sunshine galore, I think that is very, very likely. Now I know that much of the country looks bright red and orange with heat on all the TV weather maps, while our little corner of the world has had more greenish tones - in keeping with the Evergreen State you know.
And most of June, we spent whining that we really NEEDED some sunshine and warm weather. And that our tomatoes weren't growing and we were sick of rain and couldn't we just please have a stretch of summery weather.
So now that August has arrived, bringing our usual stretch of (for us) high temperature days, it should be anytime now that the first person utters those Pacific NW words "When is it going to cool off??"
