Google Alerts

Did you know that there is a free service from Google known as "Google Alerts" ?

Google Alerts - Monitor the Web for interesting new contentAlerts Web addess:

As a Realtor here in Punta Gorda/Port Charlotte, Florida, I use it often to monitor my listings. I can tell whom is looking up my properties, where the interest is coming from and use those findings to compliment my advertisement campaigns. Moreover, I can check for any unscrupulous activity, such as a scam artist trying to rent a property I have listed.

This unique service goes far beyond Real Estate! For example, just ype in your name and create an alert for yourself. Hopefully, you will find only good news about yourself out there in web land. Perhaps, an alert for your family member, son or daughter is appropriate. In this day and age with Cyber bullying it could be warranted.

In addition, Google Alerts can be used for fun or keeping an eye out for news and information regarding an event you are interested in. Want to get notified about your favorite sports team? As it happens! Maybe you would like to be informed about a particular stock, or how about the latest fashion news. Google Alerts will do it all for you for free!

Google Alerts can be used to monitor crucial things in you life or it can be used for fun, entertainment and just plain keeping up on certain things. Being notified as it happens can be a distinct advantage and interesting and fun to.

Google Alerts is a free tool that I use. If you did not know about it...then I hope that this article has helped you...Wayne Goss

This is a great reminder, I had forgotten to adjust some and set a few other alerts up. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Guys,

I just had a friend email me and tell me he set up an alert for his name and found a mug shot of someone with the same name as him. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm! At least with the alert he will be able to keep an eye on him.

I use Google Alerts as well. Never thought about putting my listing in there though.

I think, it is a great idea to set alerts for yourself and your kids, for your business, your favorite places or companies.

I've been using Google Alerts for many years.  However, I hadn't thought to use it to monitor my listings... I will now!
