Speechless Sunday- Darth Vader is Moving

By
Real Estate Agent with Marilyn Boudreaux, Century 21 Bono Realty 0912122870 LA

I think it is wise to advise Sellers if they are going to listing their home for sale and move, then it just makes sense to go ahead and pack up those collectible items they don't need

Buyers could be distracted by the Sellers hobbies and/or wall displays!

Sometimes but not all the time. I had one deal where the collectibles over took the house but it actually was a good thing.

I agree. I remember showing one house where the seller was a master carver. He had cases and cases of the most beautiful carved birds - they looked just like the real thing. No one who went to see the house noticed the house - they were all too much in awe of the carvings.

I remember a house that was full of hundreds of barbies.  Many very old, and all beautifully on display.  It just made me think of all the work the owner had put into putting them on display.  The worst is a taxidermy display though.

Marilyn:  I totally agree with you.  Displays like this really are a major distraction, and need to be packed up before the home goes on the market.  I can actually hear Darth Vader's heavy breathing right now.  Ahhh... the mind has such power.

In reading Jennifer's comment #3... I can only imagine showing a home full of stuffed animal heads.  Yow!

Marilyn, Been there and seen that (or similar).  Acres of Precious Moments figurines, closests of video games, knick knacks galore, they definitely distract the buyers (and their agents) attention from the home.  Please pack them up in a safe place until the home is sold.
