Your Garage Matters
Your Garage Matters
Friend Jon Kolsky brings to our attention that we need to be aware of what is our garage. It could be a dangerous area in more ways than one and no time like the present to take inventory and make sure the garage is a safe zone. I hope you drop by Jon's page and leave your comment and input, he will appreciate hearing from you.
I would love the oppurtunity to assist you with your Albuquerque and Rio Rancho NM real estae needs.
What’s In Your Garage!
What’s in your garage maybe dangerous, unhealthy, and avoided!
When’s the last time you’ve inspected your garage, if you’re like most home owners; it’s been awhile. Even when homes are sold, the homeowners leave the leftover paint behind; they feel it’s a nice move. The problem maybe the paint itself, paint has a certain shelf life, if the paint is past the shelf life; it’s useless and harmful.
Paint Shelf Life:
Most homeowners don’t pay attention to what’s in their garage, and many homeowners aren’t aware latex paint has a 10 year life expectancy & solvent based paints last approximately 15 years.
Recently I visited a home that’s been lived in for 30 plus years by the same owner. The home owners wanted some advice, they’re thinking about testing the market. It’s amazing when a new eye is able to express changes wanted; different perspectives can be beneficial when a change is desired. I gave them many great ideas to think about, but the best advice I gave was concerning their garage and the contents inside.
What’s In Your Garage!
The garage can be a very dangerous place in your home, especially if you have young children living in the home, it’s very important you know the materials stored in your garage. Make sure the paint in your garage is good and securely put away; you don’t want to make it easy for kids to get into. Have a clean and safe garage; it’s always better for you and your home; keep your garage clean, don’t let junk collect in it!
If you were not aware, your garage collects waste that’s not needed, take inventory of what’s inside your garage. What’s In Your Garage!
Think about what’s right and then do it; I say; “It’s harder to do the wrong thing verses doing the right thing”
