Crafted at the Port of Los Angeles, San Pedro

With the recent news of Councilman Joe Buscaino sending out the Request for Qualifications to commercial developers for the redevelopment of Ports O’ Call Village in San Pedro, I was anxious to see San Pedro’s latest addition on Harbor Blvd. and 22nd Street, Crafted at the Port of Los Angeles. It's amazing to see how the transformation of Harbor Blvd is turning out, with its beautiful illuminated palm trees lining the Cabrillo Walk way, and now, how the people at Crafted turned a 1940’s warehouse into a nice market place in San Pedro with a growing art culture. Recently, Crafted was featured on Forbes’ website in an article titled “Ten Things You Can’t Miss In Los Angeles Before Summer Is Over,” which explained how Crafted offers a permanent marketplace where local artisans can display their goods. Inside you’ll find a large open warehouse offering a different and eclectic mix of vendors and wares, which is very eye catching and engaging. Even though I went early and wasn’t able to experience their hosted events, they are listed on their website’s calendar. They usually have a variety of food trucks, artist’s demonstrations and live music, making this a great destination, and a fabulous experience in a most enjoyable atmosphere. I’m so delighted to see not only the art culture, but San Pedro itself growing into its potential, especially with the planned redevelopment of Ports O’ Call Village. Now, the big question is, how will our real estate prices be affected by all these positive improvements? Well, history always proves when a city improves, so does its real estate value. So, feel free to see what home listings are available in San Pedro by clicking here.

I'm so happy to see the waterfront finally taking shape after all these years, and proud to be part of this community! I'll be doing a lot of Chistmas shopping in town this year !
