When Do Facebook Likes Become Bad?

Services for Real Estate Pros with Waikoloa Vacation Rentals

kolea facebookOver the course of the last few months I have been reading articles about how the "social network" affects rankings throughout the search engines.  While google seems to be giving more weight to their own network, Google+, they are beginning to give weight to Facebook.  I believe over time they may start to give more weight.  I have a few pages of Facebook, a personal one and a couple of business ones.

Just recently I started to get spammed on my Kolea facebook page.  I have gotten Likes from dozens of people from foreign countries that post irrelevant posts that I have to delete daily.  So my question is.....currently are these likes beneficial in any way?  I would believe they are, but I am guessing that over time the search engines will learn how to decifer a genuine like from those that are not.

What do you think?

It just appears to me that the Facebook users who press the "Like" button for just about anything can be opening themselves up to much more than they realized.  Gotta be careful.  Moderation is the key.

I do the "like" thing on Activerain's FB Fridays and I'm also going through my FB friends list where I regularly interact with many people.

You can change your setting so every post needs to have your approval to become visible.

I have another issue:

I noticed that, it is almost impossible to delete many likes. I had 500 likes and wanted to change a name to a name of a community. According to FB you must have no more than 150 likes in order to do that. So I tried to delete some filtered likes, but FB does not allow you to do so. I noticed, that you are not able the full list of your fans, only first 100 or two. Mystery...
