Just got back from the Women's Council of REALTORS Leadership Academy and had a wonderful time networking and learning with all the incoming Chapter President's. I have been to the Academy previously as the Coastal Delmarva Chapter Pres-Elect, the Maryland State Chapter President-Elect and once again this year as the 2012 Coastal Delmarva Chapter Pres-Elect.
Yes, I am going back in as the 2013 President. Unfortunately, a lot of REALTORS don't see the need to take a Leadership role. I am sure many of my WCR colleagues can give testimonials about how much WCR has given to them while they were volunteering to lead their chapters. I have grown bother personally and professionally by my participation in the local and state chapters. I have been enriched by the wonderful friendships I have made by attending the Mid-Year and Annual Conferences. I give to the chapter my time, experience and skills because it makes me better at what I do. Without being a member of the Women's Council, I truly believe I wouldn't have been as successful in my real estate career as I have been.
