Big news -- all that work is almost done!  Read all about it from today's papers:

Completion expected January 15th and the improvements are highly anticipated!   This just makes our spectacular beaches even that more wonderful!  Some of the condos that will benefit are those at Cape Marco and Apollo to name a few.

How are the visitors responding to your new beaches?  One of the local towns is trying to pass a referendum to fund beach nourishment.  Some locals are opposed because they feel it will ruin the beach.  We have to do something - some areas are losing 11 feet of beach a year.

I moved to Central Florida in the middle of February and I am not sure how others are reacting to the changes, I can tell you when I checked it out it was a huge improvement to the South end of the island with more places for people to stretch out on.
