Back to school, football, and my favorite time of year!

By
Real Estate Broker/Owner with Richard Weisser Realty

Back to school, football, and my favorite time of year!I know it’s early August but school is already back in session here in Coweta County Georgia (it seems like they go back earlier every year) and that turns ones thoughts forward towards Autumn!

Fall is my favorite time of the year, and I look forward to the season with eager anticipation. It’s time for football, fried apple pies, and of course, the leaf season!

We have an extended foliage experience here in Georgia, as the leaves start turning in late September and can persist all the way through to December.

I always keep the camera at the ready, as everything looks better with a little added color!

So as the daylight hours wane, I don’t get depressed at all.

Instead, I get excited!

Good morning Richard. I agree with you. Fall is my favorite time of the year too. So much excitement, the lovely leaves, and the promise of a new season in winter.

Richard, It's also a reminder of "where in the heck did this year go?" as we head towards December! Scare me!

But you are right about the leaves....and I hope I make the time to dig out my picnic basket and make a trip through the mountains, find a quiet corner for some delish sandwiches, maybe some fried chicken, perhaps some wine, and savor the moment.

Oh, and we'll be waiting for your amazing photos!

I do love the leaves and the color of fall, but hate it once the leaves are gone and the promise of a cold, gray winter on my doorstep. I am not a fan of the short days and lack of sunshine.. I do love the photo opportunities that preceed it though. Fall here in the Hudson Valley is quite breathtaking... and i always have my camera ready in an instant!

Richard - good to get an early start. May get rid of some of the remaining heat. We all have lots to look forward to. You're right about photo ops.

Good morning Richard -

The kids are already in school in your area?  Wow... that's early!  I think they're gearing up here but have not returned yet.  It won't be long before the big yellow bus will be making it's stops on our street for the kids that live in our community.

Have a great day in all you do my friend.

Gotta say, I'm ready for fall.  We don't get much changing foliage out here in CA so seeing pictures of places that do - such as yours - is a treat.

Richard, it seems like summer just began.  We still have a couple weeks before our kids hit the books.  I am not looking forward to the increased traffic in the mornings but mall shopping should be a lot quieter!

Wow school started already? That's pretty earlier. We have 2 more weeks to go down here. I love Autumn...but in other states...since South Florida goes from green to more green.

I do miss the daylight as fall comes in, but the leaves do make it eaier to deal with.  Once the trees are naked, I'm ready to hibernate until spring.

I am with you on this one. We don't have many leaves to change but we do have some great (or once great) football teams in Florida!
