Buyers shop by comparison shopping. Homes that don't have offer the same amenities and features as other properties in the same price range actually help to sell the competing properties because they make the competing properties shine. The lesser homes look over priced to the buyers (which they are) and the buyers are disappointed.
Sellers really need to analysis the competing properties for sale and make sure the features and amenities in their home are equal to the ones in competing properties. Otherwise they may not be marketing their home at the proper price point.
The Portland market place is strong, but your house has to be competive with the other homes on the market.
