RALEIGH REAL ESTATE: ART FOR CHARITY IN A NURSERY

By
Real Estate Agent with Raleigh Cary Realty NC Broker #178638

Logan's Festival of the Arts

Everyone knows Logan's, or should. It's a wonderful nursery and cafe` located in the old Seaboard train station off Peace St. in downtown Raleigh. They have plants outside, plants inside, giftware, and practical items for the serious gardener like gloves and plant stakes.

This weekend Logan's is hosting  a charity event featuring 42 artists in the genres of "2D, 3D, performing, musical, and more."  The charity that will benefit is called ComeUnityNow, and their purpose is "to enrich lives through art and service." This year their project is to help the homeless in Raleigh.

This event promises to be a  good time for a good cause, plus everone who makes a donation to ComeUnityNow will get a discount on any Logan's purchase.

Hi Debbie.  Just hope it doesn't rain.  We've been having a LOT of rain.

Hi Alexandra.  In fact,  I'm planning to go -- if it doesn't rain!

I love the sound of this one, Dianne. It reminds me of some of the festivals at the Sponge Docks. Have fun.

Hi Toni. I was able to drop by for an hour or so, and very much enjoyed seeing the wonderful thinngs that people create, often out of odds and ends.  Like gourds, for example, or bits of fabric.  The rain held off, which was fortunate, but it was hot.  In August, I guess it has to be hot.
